Shelton Angus is a second generation registered Angus farm located in Pittsylvania County Virginia. Walter and Ruby Shelton added the first registered Angus females to this traditional tobacco farm in 1963. W. H. “Buddy” and Karen Shelton took over the farm operations in the late 1980s. Shelton Angus has utilized a complete A.I. breeding program since 1982 with extensive embryo transfer added later. Our goal is to provide superior Angus genetics that are raised and tested in a practical, fescue based environment to the commercial producers of the Southeast.
